The DuraTech 5-8" Chimney Pipe is a double-wall, all-fuel chimney system suitable for use with a variety of appliances including wood stoves, fireplaces, furnaces, boilers, ranges, water heaters, and other wood, oil, coal, or gas-fueled appliances. The pipe features an inner wall made of .020" 430 stainless steel and outer wall options of .016" 430 stainless steel or .021" galvalume steel. A Thermal Tech blanket insulation is encased between the walls to ensure optimum safety and performance. The inner wall is 25% thicker than other competitive chimneys to provide an extra margin of safety. The chimney's sleek 1" wall design enables easy installation through 16" on-center framing without requiring locking bands or mechanical fasteners. It is designed for normal, continuous operation at 1000°F flue gas temperatures and subjected to rigorous and stringent HT requirements of the UL standard, including one hour at 1400°F, plus three ten-minute chimney fire tests at 2100°F. The DuraTech 5-8" Chimney Pipe has a limited lifetime manufacturer's warranty and is c-UL-us Listed to UL 103 HT and ULC S604 (MH7399) (Stainless steel outer wall required for installation in Canada). It requires a 2" clearance to combustibles and comes in diameters of 5"-8".
