Independently owned and operated and manufactured in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina, Condor prides itself in its quality American manufacturing. Condar got its start over 40 years ago with the goal of developing the first practical thermometer that could withstand the hot temperatures of a wood stove flue pipe and still record an accurate temperature. Their dream was a success and resulted in a United States Patented thermometer. Their success led to assisting the Environmental Protection Agency in the early 1990’s to control air pollution from wood stoves. In 1995, Condar began fabricating a catalytic combustor that virtually eliminates particulate emissions. Their efforts to better the lives and means of heating the homes of their customers continues today with their products shipping all over the world.
