BDM established a successful commercial roofing and sheet metal fabrication company in 1944. In 1968, Bernard Dalsin decided to divide the company and create two separate entities - one for roofing and the other for sheet metal fabrication. The CHIM-A-LATOR product line, known for its high-quality fireplace products, was created in 1969. William Dalsin was named President in December 1992, and he emphasized the importance of quality under his leadership. Bernard Dalsin Mfg. Co. is now recognized as a leader in high-quality fireplace products and is committed to maintaining excellence, quality, and pride in all aspects of its operations. In 2020, Christopher and Timothy Dalsin, the sons of William and Lynn Dalsin, purchased the company, marking the third generation of family ownership.
